#324: Making the Holocaust Possible

“[Raul] Hilberg and others have certainly documented the extent to which ordinary bureaucrats, performing functions vital to the mass murder program in exactly the same routine way they performed the rest of their professional duties, made the Holocaust possible. *Raul Hilberg as quoted in Browning, Christopher R.. Ordinary Men (p. 318). Harper Perennial. Kindle Edition.

Raul Hilberg (June 2, 1926 – August 4, 2007) was an Austrian-born Jewish-American political scientist and historian. He was widely considered to be the preeminent scholar on the Holocaust.[1][2][3] Christopher R. Browning has called him the founding father of Holocaust Studies and his three-volume, 1,273-page magnum opus The Destruction of the European Jews is regarded as seminal for research into the Nazi Final Solution.[4] | https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raul_Hilberg
